Okay, all the photos were taken at the Hollywood
cemetery in Richmond Virginia. I go to a tattoo convention there
every year, so I spend at least one morning taking photos. I
have thousands of them!!! Each year, I choose a different
subject within the cemetery. |
 |
|
One year, I took all the angels. One year I did
all the living things in the cemetery (we even saw a cat
there--too coincidental). I did all the wrought iron and cast
iron one year. This year, I was doing crosses and words (and I
need another couple of years to finish that project--it was a
lot bigger than I though--I only made it through about 1/10th of
the cemetery. |

|
I can’t resist the trees wherever I take photos,
and I have my favorite angels that I photograph every time I go
there.
|
 |
|
The little angel nestled down in the grass was either a new
addition to the cemetery, or a new discovery--I've never seen
her before! She was tiny, and right next to a wall--like she
was just there to comfort whoever put her there--not really to
be seen.

When I die, I want a really cool grave marker. I hope that
people will want to walk through the cemetery and have a picnic
on my grave. I want kids to come and play there. I guess I just
never thought of cemeteries as solemn places necessarily.
|
 |
|
I hope to not offend anyone by that, but I don’t
think the people there would mind if there was a little bit of
life going on near their grave. |

|
I hope you
enjoy my photos!
