This is the making of an ostrich egg sculpture.

My egg ideas almost never end up the way I first imagined them.
But, it is the best place to start:
With an idea... My very first idea for an ostrich egg was to make a box.
And wouldn't you know it, the very first ostrich egg I got was rotten and
it exploded when I tried to drill it.
Despite all the smell and egg goo, I continued to play around with them.

So here's my latest idea-- it involves an emus egg.
Which is already cleaned out, So I don't have to know how they taste!
Emu eggs are green & black and the coolest texture you've ever seen.
So this is the plan.... I'll balance the emu egg on some deer horns.
I will tie the horns together with leather. Then carve a tree in the egg.
Then I got to thinking about wiring the egg to the horns and adding some beads....
Well that's where I am now. I am sure this will change before I am done.
                                             I'll keep you posted!
below are the ideas I have drawled out on paper.
